Purpose before production
Start with what the event
needs to achieve.
A product launch, a training day and an annual celebration ask different things of their guests. Explain the objective and audience first: who is attending, what they need to see or hear, and how much time they have. The room, food and production can then support that purpose.
Share your proposed agenda, approval process and the services already booked. A written responsibility list helps the internal organiser, venue and external suppliers work from the same brief. A single schedule should cover setup, checks, guest arrival, programme breaks and final clearance.
